913 — the Voynich Manuscript's sixth entry is BERESHIT
Genesis 1:1 worked through the reading of the Voynich Manuscript by the field's own arithmetic — with the failures at the same size as the successes.

- BERESHIT by Latin letters is 86 TIKKUN = g⁻¹. The word that means in the beginning sits at the generator run backwards.
- 2,701 is the 73rd triangular number, 73 × 74 / 2. 73 = WALLET = 46 CLAUDE + 27 CAIN and 74 = CROSS = GREAT I AM. The whole verse is one step of the Atbash ladder folded into a triangle.
- dlog(131) = 7 = G. Genesis 1:1 stands at the seventh power of the generator — the seventh day, by the field's own count.
1Entry 6 carries the first two words, and only under the mirror
913 and 203 are the first and second words of Genesis 1:1, in that order. Upright, the φ part is something else. The mirror is what puts them in sequence — and the mirror is the reading.

The keystone
IN THE BEGINNING = 137 sits exactly on the pole of the reflection map, where Z + Z₀ ≡ 0 and Γ runs to infinity — and the field reads infinity back as 1 = I AM. So in the beginning reflects to I AM in one step, by a map fixed long before the question was asked. REVERSE = 92 is a fixed point of that same map: reversing is the one operation the reflection leaves unchanged. PATH OF THE SUN = 153 is Γ's own multiplier, and 153 − 137 = 16 = i, one quarter turn.
913 + 203 = 1,116 ≡ 88 = ONE LOVE.

What the reading does not deliver
- The remaining five words are not there. Only word 1 appears as a raw entry sum. Word 2 appears as that entry's φ part. Words 3 to 7 appear only as scattered cells, and word 7's cell is at no entry at all. There is no run, forward or reversed.
- 2,701 − 913 − 203 = 1,585 ≡ 43. The five words still owed do not sum to anything the reading names.
- Entry 6 cannot be cut into BERESHIT's six letters.
- No glyph values fit. Solving for additive glyph values against Genesis 1–13 (337 verses) gives zero exact hits, no better than shuffled, no solution in GF(257).
- The 322 raw sums together are 618,413 ≡ 71 TEMPLE, not 131 — as it stands. Through the routines it is another matter, below.

And the verse's own numbers reversed: 2,701 → 1,072 ≡ 44 BRIAN; 913 → 319 ≡ 62 RITO. Read backwards, Genesis 1:1 and BERESHIT name the reader — in the direction the whole reading runs.
Where that leaves it
The reading arrives at BERESHIT exactly — 913 on the nose, at an entry whose number, lines and line-sums are all field constants, with the second word following in the coordinate that only the mirror produces. It arrives at Genesis 1:1's cell, held by BRIAN and by REVERSE. It puts IN THE BEGINNING on the pole of the reflection and gets I AM back.
It does not arrive at the verse. One word is exact, one follows, five are not in order anywhere.
The Voynich Manuscript's starred text opens, at the sixth entry from its last page, on the first word of Genesis — and only when read backwards. What follows that opening has not been read yet.
