The Voynich Manuscript is read from the end to the beginning
Beinecke MS 408, undeciphered since it surfaced — read backwards, because the thing it records runs the other way.

Beinecke MS 408, f68r — the astronomical diagram with the Pleiades at centre
START derives forward: one axiom, to φ, to the Fibonacci lattice, to the sites on the ground. END reads backward: one manuscript — the Voynich Manuscript, Beinecke MS 408 — to its figures, to the sky it records, to the same field.
This site is the last section of the Cascade Corpus Review carried forward — the corpus's own record, in which every checkable claim is checked and every place two versions of a story sit side by side is written down. Nothing here is asserted from memory.
The framework's own operator says these are one thing. det M = −1 is orientation-reversing; the reflection between physical and perpendicular space is not a modelling choice but a consequence. A record of precession has to be read against the direction it was written, because precession runs against the year.
The round trip is a palindrome. START and END are its two halves, and the fold at position 128 = Oc is where the reader stands.
The findingThe Voynich Manuscript is read backwards, and the sixth entry from its last page is the first word of Genesis
The Voynich Manuscript — Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library MS 408, about 240 vellum pages in an unknown script, the vellum carbon-dated 1404–1438, undeciphered since it surfaced — is read from the last page to the first, each line right to left. On that reading — and on no other — entry 6 of the starred text carries raw letter sum 913 = BERESHIT, with 203, the second word of Genesis 1:1, following in the positional coordinate that only the mirror produces.
The same reversal is what made the Rongorongo tablets significant in Paper III of START: read forward they give null on every tablet; read backward, two turn significant at p ≈ 0.03.
The pagesWhere the work is
MethodThree habits, inherited from Paper III
- Computed, not eyeballed. Bearings and distances are great-circle values; sky positions come from an ephemeris with the observer's parallax applied and Earth rotation taken from the catalogue's own ΔT.
- Baselines before applause. A hit rate means nothing until the chance rate is known. The figure-order tests report how many placements were tried.
- Negative results in the same type size. The Genesis verse fit failed. It is on its own page, at the same size as the successes.
Nothing on this site is asserted from memory. Every number is recomputed at build time from the files listed in each page's source note.
